The National Danish Performance Team visiting Estonia with shows and workshops
The National Danish Performance Team, the display group of the Danish Gymnastics and Sports Associations, will be on tour in Estonia from 1 to 9 June 2022, with performances in Kuressaare, Tallinn and Tartu.
The National Danish Performance Team comes with a breath-taking show with a dynamic mix of world class tumbling, vaulting, mini-trampoline, graceful choreographies, dance routines, tricking and acrobatics turned into a coherent and entertaining performance. In addition they will hold gymnastics workshops in all the aforementioned cities for gymnasts and trainers, in Tallinn also for Ukrainian children.
“The Danish Embassy, Danes residing in Estonia and the Danish contingent to NATO Battlegroup in Tapa are looking forward to these world-class shows from out home country,” Danish Ambassador Kristina Miskowiak Beckvard says with great anticipation.
“Including Estonia in the world tour has been on the wish list for years for National Danish Performance Team after our first visit more than 20 years ago. Gymnastics traditions and relations between our two countries are strong and were established in the early 1990s,” says the Team’s Tour Director Thomas Dahl. “I am thrilled and proud that the Danish team can once again celebrate this friendship. Exercise, well-being and healthy communities are imperative nowadays. That is center stage in the collaboration with the gymnastics communities in Kuressaare, Tallinn and Tartu.”
In Kuressaare, performances will take place on 1 June at 17:00 in the frames of the Child Protection Day on the city’s central square and at 20:00 during the gymnastics gala in Saaremaa Sports School, and on 2 June at 19:00 in Kuressaare Sports Center (https://fienta.com/en/national-danish-performance-team-esinemine-kuresaares)
In Tallinn, they will perform in the frames of the Old Town Days on the Estonian Flag Day, 4 June at 18:00 on Vabaduse Square with the participants of the Tallinn Gymnastics Festival. On the Danish Constitution Day, 5 June at 17:00 they will be on stage with a longer programme at the Tallinn Gymnastics Festival “Time to Dream” in the Pirita Sports Centre / Velodrome (https://www.facebook.com/tallinnavoimlemispidu). The Gymnastics Festival will be transmitted live.
In Tartu, the National Danish Performance Team is taking part in the city's gymnastics festival "Time Machine" on 7 June at 19:00 at Tartu Song Festival Grounds (https://tartuvoimlemispidu.weebly.com/) and will perform their full programme "QUA" on 8 June at 19:00 in A le Coq Sports Hall (https://www.facebook.com/events/697219098181378).
