The Danish Royal Couple visits Estonia

The Royal House has announced that Their Majesties the King and Queen of Denmark will pay a state visit to Estonia on 27–28 January 2026 by the invitation of the President of Estonia, Alar Karis.
Their Majesties will be accompanied by Minister of Defence Troels Lund Poulsen and Minister for Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen.

The visit in Estonia will particularly focus on digital resilience and cyber security, and The King and The Queen will among other things visit the national Estonian cyber security and innovation centre CR14, where they will receive presentations of defence exercises and simulations of cyberattacks.

There will be official programme items such as the reception of The King and The Queen, a state dinner with a concert, and meetings with The President and First Lady, the Prime Minister and the Speaker of the Parliament. The President and First Lady bid farewell to The King and The Queen at a very special place for the bilateral relationship, in The Danish King’s Garden in Tallinn, where, according to the legend, Dannebrog descended from the sky in 1219.
