Prime Minister Kaja Kallas in Denmark
On 14 and 15 May 2023, Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas visited Denmark, where she met with Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and gave a speech at the Copenhagen Democracy Summit.
The Estonian Prime Minister’s visit to Denmark began with the meeting Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen. The two heads of government discussed Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and support to Ukraine. The meeting also included topics like strengthened cooperation regarding regional security, defence and preparations for the upcoming NATO-summit in Vilnius in July.

Later, Kaja Kallas visited the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and their innovation hub, DTU Skylab, before the Prime Minister, accompanied by a business delegation consisting of representatives from Estonian companies, participated in an Estonian-Danish business seminar. Here, they focused on new possibilities for closer bilateral cooperation to attract more investments in Estonia and Denmark as well as development of the environment for Estonian start-up companies.
