The Embassy building is designed by the Danish architects Bøje Lundgaard og Lene Tranberg.
The Danish Embassy building in Tallinn was officially inaugurated in January 1999 by the then Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Niels Helveg Petersen and the former Estonian Prime Minister, Mr. Mart Siimann. It is designed by the Danish architects Bøje Lundgaard and Lene Tranberg and built as a turnkey project by the Danish construction company Rasmussen & Schiøtz. The building was commissioned by the Danish Castle and Property Department.

The Embassy is situated at Wismari 5 in central Tallinn overlooking the beautiful Hirve Park, the Estonian parliament and the Pikk Hermann tower. A short distance from the Embassy you will find the Danish King's Garden (Taani Kuninga Aed) where, according to the legend, the Danish national flag Dannebrog fell from the sky on the 15 June 1219, and the Danish Queen's Rose Garden, inaugurated by Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II on 15 June 2019.
