On 1-2 April H.R.H. the Crown Princess of Denmark visited Estonia with director of the The Mary Foundation Helle Østergaard and general secretary for Save the Children Mimi Jakobsen to see the programme "Free of Bullying" in action in Estonian preschools and schools.

The Mary Foundation and Save the Children Denmark have since 2011 been working with the Estonian Union for Child Welfare on adapting the Danish anti-bullying programme to Estonian conditions. The Crown Princess gave an opening speech at the conference “Bullying-free Education” organised by The Office of the Chancellor of Justice and the Estonian Union for Child Welfare. Being the patron of the programme the Crown Princess also had the chance to see closely how it is used in Suitsupääsupesa Kindergarten and in the first grades of Kadrioru German Gymnasium in Tallinn.

The Crown Princess visited the Danish King’s Garden together with the mayor of Tallinn Edgar Savisaar. The garden was renovated in 2013 with support from The Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik Foundation and the A.P Møller and Chastine Mc-Kinney Møller Foundation for General Purposes. She also showed the Mayor the photo exhibition “A Modern Royal Household” that was opened in the adjoined medieval wall tower Kiek in de Kök and joined the reception in old Tallinn Town Hall.

During the visit the Crown Princess  met with President Toomas Hendrik Ilves and Mrs Evelin Ilves in the Office of the President. The Crown Princess and Mrs Ilves visited the seminar "Sustainable Fashion - A Business Model" that presented experiences in creation and production of sustainable clothing on the example of Reet Aus Design from Estonia and AIAYU from Denmark. That was a good start for April, when in Copenhagen on 24 April the Copenhagen Fashion Summit takes place that is dedicated to sustainable fashion under the patronage of the Crown Princess. Together they also visited the Children’s Literature Centre that promotes children’s literature and reading.

The visit ended with a short concert and reception in the House of the Brotherhood of the Blackheads with performances by ETV Girls’ Choir and the concert choir "Raduga".
