Danish Day 2019 in Tallinna Reaalkool

The Tallinna Reaalkool (Tallinn Secondary School of Science) held on 28 March 2019 the Danish Day, which took place for the fifth time marking the school’s friendship with Viborg Katedralskole that started five years ago.

Embassy of Denmark was honoured to contribute to the day. At the opening event Ambassador Kristina Miskowiak Beckvard had a greeting speech and enjoyed the music and the lecture on Danish history performed by the students. Other Embassy employees talked in the classrooms about studying in Denmark, about the Danish language and Danish films.

Commander of the Danish contingent of enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) talked about the background of NATO and the tasks of eFP. There were also lectures about Danish volunteers in Estonian War of Independence, the difference and similarities in Estonian and Danish culture and societies and Danisg art of the Golden Age.

The school had on the day also LEGO-contest and quizzes for all grade levels as well as Danish-themed lessons from high school students to primary school students.
