Conference Nordic Open 2015 shares Danish agricultural know-how

On 26-27 March 2015 Danish-Estonian Chamber of Commerce (DECC) in collaboration with the Estonian Chamber of Agriculture and Commerce will host the Nordic Open conference that introduces the experiences of Danish farming businesses in a two day-programme on B2B and farmer to farmer level.

The conference invites to hear from Danish agriculture companies how they handle and create efficiency in production and marketing as well as manage the entrepreneurial structures and strategies with the aim to increase potential cooperation between Denmark and the Baltic region.

On 26 March one of the focus topics is Arla, the biggest producer of dairy products in Denmark. Arla’s transition from being a small milk union to a world player as well as the benefits and challenges of the single farmers as shareholders is discussed. NJORD law Firm and Kredex will hold a special seminar on managing credit risks and reorganization. Nordic conception on adjusting to the market demand will be introduced, based on the experiences of Danish Agro Group.

On conference’s second day farmers and stakeholders will present and discuss opportunities and challenges for farming of tomorrow. The issues in dairy, cattle and pig farming, growing of crops and egg production is presented by specialists and practitioners of the respective fields. Challenges in educating future farm employees is brought to discussion by the example of Bygholm Agriculture School.

Participants will throughout the days get the opportunity to increase and share their knowledge of modern farming and create new businesses relations with a Nordic reach.
